Zappa was my first introduction to the weirder side of music that lead me to the Grateful Dead. I'll never forget doing bong hits, playing Backgammon and listening to the Mothers.

Not a huge Zappa fan here but I just recently saw "The Mothers of Invention in the 60's" on Netflix. Great interviews and insight on Zappa and the band. Really in depth stuff - even a few dead references.
